Sum 41 at House Of Blues Boston

Sum 41 hit the House of Blues in Boston on October 11, and they brought down the house. The Canadian natives ripped through a massive 25 song set that spanned their entire discography. They came out to the popular “The Hell Song” and it set the course for the rest of the night. Heavy, fast rock n’ roll filled the air for an hour and a half. Throughout the set, Sum 41 brought people from the audience up on stage to watch the show, a great way to get the crowd involved in this fun show.

This was the most genuine rock show I’ve been to in a long time, complete with both guitar and drum solos. The energy that the band brought to the stage was incredible, especially after such a long absence from it. And that energy was matched, maybe even surpassed by the crowd of young adults that were reliving their glory days. I even put my camera down and jumped in the crowd to scream the words to “Still Waiting” and “In Too Deep” and it was special because it was clear that every single person in the room was having the time of their life.

I think it’s more than safe to say that Sum 41 is back and stronger than they’ve ever been.
